I haven't noticed any biker gangs in London so I was pleased to meet a coupla guys from The Hackney Hyenas on Broadway Market the other day. They came past and I thought "Oh.. Harleys." but taking a closer look the bikes looked real nice and subtle. I spoke to the owners and found out that they weren't actually Harleys at all and both bikes had rear suspension, two facts which surprised me. Hackney Hyena's website is here.

If I was a biker I'd say something like "Here is some wild Iron" but that would be silly. I thought this was pretty radical. Couldn't ride it myself but the owner says it is fun. A really low GSX750 sold for £2050. This bike looks even lower than mine.

Also an old Triumph 500 which someone is going to put back on the road was a steal at £1177 .

Work in progress..

This looks pretty nice if you can go all the way to Penzance to pick it up. Some powder coating and some electrics and you are away.

A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

Not my type of bike but you got to love it, this is a proper blast from the seventies. I have absolutely no idea how anyone could control a bike on British roads with their feet that high in the air.

another more sedate old timer, a CB750 with an engine from the same year as mine sold for £1900.

a really clean XS1100 from 1978 sold for £1,496

and lastly, almost too posy to qualify, a unique XS750 hard tail from 79. Well some of it is.. sold for £3,901

A coupla things non chop I am not going to bid on but I'd like..

This Matchless is just gorgeous for just over two grand. I wouldn't like to try and stop it in the rain tho.

The paint job is horrible but I'd love this too.

My trike fan friend just popped by and we dug this up. He doesn't like VW trikes but even he had to say wow. Its like a cartoon isn't it.

It must be pretty obvious by now that I am not a big fan of Harleys, and the more glitzy and expensive they are the less I like them. So to buck the trend here is a Harley which has caught my attention on ebay. Needs a bit of electrics, but is a nice straightforward chop. I particularly like the back light.

I have seen this ratted CBR600 before on a couple of sites. Its made out of box section steel, with box section exhausts as well. Would probably survive Armageddon and anything the four horsemen could throw at it. Not sure I could say the same for the rider but that's motorbiking eh. If I bought this I would hire it out to TV and movies.
